Listen to the text and try to notice the different sounds of final s on the verbs.

This is Piper. She's a K-9. That means that she works as a police dog. She works hard but she also plays hard! She practices a set of routines every day.
Piper has a strict routine. She eats in the morning and the afternoon. She trains before each meal and she plays after each meal.
Every K-9 has a specialty. Piper's specialty is her sense of smell. Her sense of smell helps her to find missing people. She also uses her sense of smell to find missing things.
She is an excellent K-9. She always watches Sammy's hands, and she never misses a signal. She sits when Sammy raises his hand.
